Los Angeles producer Elusive creates hip hop infused electronic music so lush it makes your skin tingle.

No stranger to the world of beatmaking, Elusive has spent the best part of two decades releasing music. Focusing primarily on underground hip hop in the ’90s and 2000s, you’ll find his production credits among the likes of Guilty Simpson, Killah Priest, Rapper Big Pooh, Shock G and more. In recent years though, Elusive has turned his attention to experimental electronica – working in richly textured layers of future-jazz and found sounds.

Having found a new home with LA heavyweights Alpha Pup Records, Elusive is set to release his second full-length record with the label – appropriately titled Textures. We’re excited to have a sneak peek here for you: a rippling, whispering journey of a track entitled “Ice Patternz”. Premiered today on The Playlist with FBi’s music director Stephen Goodhew, you can stream the track below.
