MusicNSW are running a workshop on music publishing, Get In Sync With Publishing. The night will teach you how to get your music out there and get cashed up.

Publishing is all about the business behind music. The workshop will explore what deals are out there, what makes a good sync song, and how to get the money you deserve.

It’s not longer ‘selling out’ to put your songs in TV adds and films. Plenty of Aussie musicians are doing it, so it’s time to get your share of the success.

Speakers include Katie Brown from GaGa Music – a publishing house who’ve put music to Grey’s Anatomy, BONDs ads and a heap of Aussie films – and Greg Carey from Umbrella Music.

Located at The Standard, it also makes for an excellent opportunity to to sink a few and meet new people.

So, if you’re serious about making some dough as an artist this is an event worth checking out.
