PREMIERE: Lil Spacely & co. hit harder than ever on ‘Bang My Line’
November 19th 2020
One of Western Sydney’s best is back with his crew in tow for hard-hitter “Bang My Line”. Lil Spacely’s latest debuted today on Arvos with Tommy Codling.
After a banner couple of years releasing some huge tracks and touring with some huge names (Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Skepta), Lil Spacely returns with another massive single that confirms him as one of the best that the burgeoning Western Sydney rap scene has to offer.
“Bang My Line” sees him recruit independent up-and-comer Danté Knows for a heater of a feature verse that matches Spacely’s energy and then some. The track was produced by local Tasker (Allison Wonderland, G-Flip), who’s also the brains behind the beats for Spacely’s forthcoming debut mixtape (due out Jan 2021).
Spacely says “Bang My Line” is:
“…a no holds barred response to the political brutality of PoC lives and the overrepresentation of incarcerated minorities.”
Timely in its content, and timely in its sound. “Bang My Line” is filled with the echo-y ad libs and hard trap beats that resemble those favoured by Migos, Travis Scott or Young Thug. Complete with a hard-hitting drop and the kind of catchy hook built for a heaving club crowd to yell along to. All in all, a recipe for success.
