Watch :: The Preatures – ‘Manic Baby’

The Preatures - Manic Baby

There’s a ninety percent chance that The Preatures have inadvertently just soundtracked the title sequence for Quentin Tarantino’s next film. Solid.

Dorky VHS aesthetics drape themselves perfectly over the attitood of Isabella Manfredi in a music video that manages to be damn sexy despite the amount of ridiculous costumes prancing around. Manfredi’s vocals are super percussive at times, and a vehicle for twee melodies at others. Apparently it’s an ace combo, because there have been reports of The Preatures‘ fans swooning en masse.

With the assistance of a sharp-edged groove, ‘Manic Baby’ ends up being the potential theme song for a Manfredi-led Kill Bill remake. It’s the follow-up punch to The Preatures’ Pitchfork-approved single ‘Is This How You Feel’. Just as catchy, but different enough to make your ears prick up once more.

If the music alone doesn’t get your attention then the air thrusting definitely will.
