View :: Clubfeet & Mrs Bishop Vids

February 24th 2012

Who left all these beautiful women on beaches and scored their despair with indie tunes?

Sydney’s Mrs Bishop and Melbourne’s Clubfeet have a lot to answer for… IN VIDEO FORMAT.

Check these new vids for your Friday arvo right here:

MRS BISHOP – BROKEN WING

After a swag of spins on air, Swedish brothers Mrs Bishop are finally ready to unleash their video for dreamy single Broken Wing. After garnering interest from their cover of fellow Swedes The HivesHate To Say I Told You So, the pair are preparing for the release of their self-titled debut EP this April. Mrs Bishop found themselves in good studio company for the album, mixing with Tony Espie (The Avalanches, Cut Copy, Little Red, Midnight Juggernauts, Jinja Safari) and mastering by David Walker.

Check out the video, full of whimsy and windy clifftops, where the Swedish bros find a disarmingly pretty lady wandering the wilderness of Northern Sydney. Wheeeeere’d she go?

CLUBFEET – BRIGHTLIGHTSBIGCITY

Melbourne fivesome Clubfeet pricked ears Australia-wide with their smooth tune Edge of Extremes last year, nabbing quite the number of plays on FBi. Never resting their weary (Club)feet, the Melburnians found themselves collaborating with Sydney videographer Alex Goddard on a video project of six chapters, Gold On Gold.

Check out the video for Clubfeet’s brand new single BrightLightsBigCity below. Hell no its not a crappy Cee Lo cover, it’s a damn catchy tune full of that strutworthy bass Clubfeet initially lured us in with. Director Alex Goddard presents a visually mind-blowing clip, handpainted on 8mm frames with megababe Tiah Eckhardt froliocking on A Beach Somewhere.

This will be the last new material we get to schnavel from Clubfeet for a few months, with plans to release new sounds later on in the year.
