A sophisticated and soulful portrait of the highs and lows of long-term love – Sydney songstress Jannah Beth drops a brand new video for her latest release ‘Play Games’.

There’s something to be said about the songwriting world’s fixation with love, and Jannah Beth says it perfectly:

“In my deepest moments of thought, when I’m exploring what it is to be human and like what is the meaning of life etc etc, I continue to arrive at love, every damn time. Love muses my stories constantly, I can explore it as romantic, platonic, as self love, as my love for animals or trees, as my love for family or my love for music or adventures – it’s really endless.”

Her newest track ‘Play Games’ – a fixture on the FBi Radio airwaves for a few weeks now – tells the story of lovers embroiled in a battle of hot and cold. Jannah’s signature sultry sound shines over top of a nostalgic RnB-esque beat produced by Mookhi (aka Olympia Henshaw). They make quite the team, as producer Mookhi also lovingly hand animated all 3000 frames that comprise the video, in a bid to create something to compliment the inherent innocence and playfulness of the track.

As is everything Jannah puts her name to, it’s fresh, refined, and a product of an uncompromising artistic vision that stands both of these powerhouse women in good stead. Watch the brand new vid for ‘Play Games’ below.
