PRINCI (fka Kimchi Princi) is back with FYI, a dancehall-adjacent pop B A N G E R that makes the full-throated case for self-love, determination and getting tf down. It premiered on Arvos with Tanya Ali.

FYI is the second single from PRINCI’s debut self-titled album to be released this November, and it’s a cut of pure self-possession. PRINCI’s vocal stretches and contorts and snaps back with venom, the song’s central provocation – ‘you can try but you can’t stop me’ – drones in and out below, and Atro’s production layers ice-cold electronics over a beat that’s just eccentric enough without compromising its heeeeectic danceability.

On FYI, PRINCI foregoes the more twisted deconstructive tendencies of her previous release Diaspora Doll in favour of tight-as-a-drum cohesion, and it’s paid off big time. Hit play up top and turn it up!
