PREMIERE: Cult Shφtta take Western Sydney to the world on ‘Fkn Oath’

May 28th 2020

What do you get when you combine the eccentric rap stylings of Charles X and the pure hype of Golo? Western Sydney power rap duo Cult Shφtta, of course. Their dynamism is on full display on their latest, ‘Fkn Oath’.

Not a week goes by where we aren’t totally floored by the pure talent emerging from the Western Suburbs of Sydney. The calibre of their hip hop and RnB acts, in particular, is world class.

Cult Shφtta are no exception to this rule, making waves the nation over with their energy and stage presence. Boasting festival slots at The Plot, Snow Tunes and Hard Grime, as well as collab credits with Manu Crook$, Spenda C and Moonbase, they’ve cemented their status among the ‘must watch’ acts of Sydney.

Their latest offering ‘Fkn Oath’ is Cult Shφtta at their most refined. The duo cite their influences as Pharrell, Kanye West and anything old school 90s hip hop, evident in the the slick percussive production. The vocals are reflective of the noticeably more melodic hip hop & RnB that has become the go-to in the US, recalling big names like Post Malone, French Montana or Young Thug. On a world stage bursting at the seams with talent, Cult Shφtta make a convincing case as a couple of homegrown heroes to root for.
