“We tried to have a photo in front of [the Petersham water tower] but it just didn’t work out. Then we found a 20-year-old photo online and just used that.”

Fresh off a U.S. tour with his band Royal Headache, Lawrence Hall paid a visit to FBi to take over The Bridge, sitting in with Ryan Saar for “probably the most punk show The Bridge has ever seen.”

With tunes from Angie’s old group Kiosk, Lowlife, and, of course, Royal Headache, Lawrence came through with a killer selection of local tunes. In between songs, they chatted about a whole bunch of things, including Royal Headache’s love of keeping things close and comfortable in their music videos and cover art.

“Damo had the concept of keeping it local. All the stuff he does day in and day out, at the bottle-o… he’s a bit of a dropkick.”

And of course, each pick has a story.

“When I was 16 I met this weird guy at my high school… Conation was the first band that came on [after he boosted me over the wall of the beer garden.]”
