Photography and situated media lecture

Presented by the University of Technology Sydney and curated by Sydney artist Natalya Hughes, this lecture is part of an ongoing  series exploring the practices of a variety of incredible artists and photographers.

This week features Stephanie Simcox and Lyndal Irons. Simcox is committed to working with not-for-profit organisations in Australia and abroad on local development studies such as housing, equality and health. Irons is a documentary photographer and writer focused on local reportage, who recently won the 2015 Pool Grant for her series ‘On Parramatta Road’.

Anna-Marÿke | Still Life Series

Catch the last week of a photographic exhibition by Anna-Marÿke, featuring large scale images shot on film of rotting fruit, taxidermy animals, luscious velvet fabrics and dying flowers. Referencing the Dutch and Spanish Masters of the 17th century, Anna-Marÿke celebrates life in nature through the contemporary medium of analogue photography.

Mnemonic Mirror exhibition opening

Transmute is an exhibition of 13 artists working around the theme of relationships that shaped us. They’re working in a totally diverse range of mediums from textiles to photography to kinetic sculpture. AND they’ll be transforming the 107 Projects space into an entirely interactive experience so go along and immerse yourself in it!

REC ROOM at Interlude Gallery
