For two weeks in December, WIP Shop will take up a new residence on Crown Street, Surry Hills, offering a curated collection of jewellery, fashion, ceramics and objects, designed + made by a group of thirteen emerging, independent designers.

Surface Tension

Bridging calligraphy with the unleashed expressive gesture of performance, and merging formal drawing and painting with the influence of graffiti and mural painting, this exhibition showcases four contemporary Japanese artists with new approaches to the drawn surface.

Tommy's TNL - A Queer Holiday extravaganza

Kusama - Infinity. Preview Screening

Now one of the world’s most celebrated artists, Yayoi Kusama broke free of the rigid society in which she was raised, and overcame sexism, racism, and mental illness to bring her artistic vision to the world stage. Head along to this preview screening to witness the documentary about this art powerhouse’s life.

Artist talk with Hiroyasu Tsuri / Twoone

Berlin-based Japanese artist Hiroyasu Tsuri (also known as TWOONE) will present an intimate artist talk discussing his diverse practice. Working internationally to deliver large-scale public murals, exhibitions of his paintings, drawings, photography and sculptural mixed media works, Tsuri will share stories from his many creative projects.

Destination Sydney Re-Imagined

This is the second exhibition in a series of collaborations between three Sydney public galleries – Manly Art Gallery and Museum Society, Mosman Art Gallery and the S.H. Ervin Gallery. It follows in the footsteps of the jointly presented collaborative exhibition project, ‘Destination Sydney’.

Eco-Dyeing with Nicole Barakat

Join artist Nicole Barakat in this introduction to eco-dyeing. Learn how to dye and transfer print onto silk cloth using plant materials and rusted metal and create patterns using resist dyeing (shibori) techniques.

The photographer's studio | David Goldblatt

As an ongoing Womanifesto, protest party and flesh riot, Betty invites you into the genre-smashing scene, zee cultivation of da lurve energy.
