An Aquarius Sun and Pisces Moon, Shareeka collages music and feelings together into sonic explorations of queerness, diaspora, futures and liminality. She knows firsthand the transformative power of the dance music space, but also the tarnishing history of exclusion that is embedded within some of these spaces. Through her sets, Shareeka seeks to reclaim bodies and styles of music, as well as embrace the social responsibility that comes with having a platform.
