Preview :: Elizabeth Rose REMIXED

March 16th 2012

Musicians are more trusting of late. Tunes are no longer kept under lock and key, opting for a more ‘sharing is caring’ approach. Artists including The Grates, Cloud Control, Oliver Tank and Geoffrey O’Connor have been sharing the Twisties around, handing their well-crafted tunes over to like-minded tunemakers for a re-twig. Sydney’s Elizabeth Rose has become the latest in the generosity playground.

Constantly compared to Bat For Lashes and Bjork, the 21 year old electronic pop producer can pack a shared songwriting punch. After working on tunes and remixes with the likes of Dr Don Don, Flight Facilities, Jinja Safari and RUFUS, Ms Rose released her own damn fine, self-produced singles ‘Crystallise’ and ‘Throw Me To The Stars’.

But this time, Ms Rose herself is handing over the reins. After releasing her humdinger of a single ‘Ready’ earlier this year, the Sydneysider handed over her precious tune to some very capable pals. March will see the release of her ‘Ready’ Remix EP, featuring remixes from the likes of Whyte Fang (who recently remixed The Grates’ The Version Suicides), Nina Las Vegas, Polographia and Gold Fields.
