Culture guide

It’s hard to know what to do after work sometimes… when you’ve got The Z Factor and Please Date My Horribly Awkward Son doubling up on TV, how could you possibly consider heading back outside?! Luckily, we’re keeping our eyes out to bring you the best, brightest, and usually cheapest stuff on the Sydney arts and culture scene.

So when the lure of comfortable pants and reality TV threatens to maroon you on the shores of mediocrity, FBi’s culture guide has got you sorted…

_______

Monday ::  Story Club’s Switcheroo

Just when we thought it was getting summery, Sydney sprung on us that kind of weather that makes you want to curl up with a glass of wine while someone tells you a story. Luckily, Story Club is happening tonight so you can do just that! Tonight’s theme is the old Switcheroo, where guests will be telling tales about being switched around.

“Stories where confusion abounds, where double-takes rule, stories of Mixups and SNAFUs and GotchaNoses and Stings. Probably.”

Fanny’s in a bit of a pickle. No one wants to read her short story about a stallion and the dead in her outback town have started devouring the living. It’s been described as “a mash up of A Country Practise, Deadwood and Shaun of the Dead – a romantic historical western drama noir exploitation comedy. With zombies.”
