Yabun Festival 2016

A one-day festival celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, art, dance and music held annually in Victoria Park.

It’s free and always shows a great lineup of artists and musicians. Great way to get out and enjoy the holiday!

The Golden Promise | Samuel Hodge

Samuel Hodge presents a new body of work entitled The Golden Promise.

Hodge manipulates found images and discarded slides to construct an imagined history beginning in a fictional USA town in 1969, which extends and unfolds to the present day.

Dämmerschlaf

Artspace’s first exhibition of 2016!

See site specific works recently developed within the gallery space specifically for the Dämmerschlaf exhibition.

These new works explore the states of consciousness present in creative practice,  including notions of the occult, the supernatural and alternative spiritualities.

MCA ARTBAR - Rosie Deacon

Rosie Deacon keeps bringing the good stuff!

Saturday 30th

Adrian Paci - The Column

An epic video installation which is definitely worth heading down to. The Column traces the path of a massive block of marble as it is quarried, transported via land and sea, and shaped along the way.

It’s big, immersive and breathtaking and it’s only on for a couple of weeks so head down if you get a chance.
