Preview :: The Labyrinth at Bondi Openair Cinema
February 18th 2012
Nick La Rosa
How could we forget David Bowie as the Goblin King in those skin-tight grey leggings? Or our jealousy when he croons ‘As the World Falls Down’ to a young Jennifer Connelly in her meringue extravaganza ball gown? Not to mention one of Jim Hensen’s finest hours populating the Goblin kingdom with all kinds of puppet creatures including the loveably flawed Hoggle and the furry gentle giant Ludo. If you need reminding of the babe, you’re in luck.
The Brag are presenting a one-off showing of the Labyrinth at Bondi Open Air Cinemas. What could be better than taking in the beach sunset ambience, then settling in for a sundown screening of one of the finest in fantasy flicks, under the stars, on a warm summer night (fingers-crossed)? How about all of the above plus live sets from Richard in Your Mind (solo) and Spooky Land (solo) from 6:30pm? Did I mention Bowie as a Goblin King?
