Have you been holding on to a dirty little secret?

Now is the time to let it all out. Instead of whispering into the ears of your friends as they console you or telling a priest behind a screen in a hushed voice… you should definitely shout it out on a microphone in front of a room of strangers. Sharing is caring after all.

Confession Booth brings together a whole bunch of awesome people who share their deepest, darkest and most embarrassing stories to a crowd. You will cry, laugh, and be moved by the hidden gems that are now in the sunlight to be shared by all.

The event is hosted and curated by Matt Roden and A.H.Cayley. On March 25, special guests Sarah Blasko, Brendan Cowell, Jazz Twemlow, Gloria Van Vaulker and Heidi Pett will be in the spotlight.

Have these people been specifically chosen for their juicy secrets?

“We pick people whose secrets we would like to know but also people who would share their secrets well in a heartbreaking and hilarious way. We make sure we do not have the same type of person from the same background and same style. Some are funny, some are heartbreakers, and it is quite eclectic,” said A.H Cayley.

The beauty of Confession Booth, as an audience member, is realising you are not the only horrible person who has come into contact with embarrassing, crazy, outrageous, and down right hilarious situations. You will feel a whole lot better about yourself by the end of the event.

“After a performance someone came up to me and gave me the best compliment. She said, ‘I feel like I am not such a shit person compared to you.’ and that was the best compliment I have ever got,” said A.H Cayley.

Talking about shit, Confession Booth generates a lot of stories about number twos.

“We have a lot of poo stories,” laughs A.H Cayley.

“People are very keen to share the time they shat themselves. Sarah Blasko is headlining this event, so I really hope that is what she will be reading.”

A.H Cayley has always been the chatterbox, and she is ready to stun crowds when she takes the microphone at Confession Booth.

“I am the oversharer, I’m certainly a fantastic listener but my secrets are known by everyone. Anyone who follows me on Twitter would know that.”

What is on her mind for the next instalment of Confession Booth?

“Basically this one stems from humiliation and heartbreak. Often, attempts to save face lead to way more horrifying circumstances.”

After hearing from the fantastic speakers, you have the opportunity to confess your own sins. Matt Roden will be holding an audience confession segment, so why not join in the fun?

Hop into the booth and redeem yourself.
