Premiere: Moza Explore Living Your Truth In New Visuals for ‘Gold’

January 17th 2018

Delving into self-doubt, acceptance and living your truth, ‘Gold’ is the latest offering from local electronic duo Moza. Hear it first on FBi Radio and peep the track’s intimately honest visuals below.

Following up their bass-heavy release ‘Keep Up’, Cam Nacson and Toby Chew Lee found themselves writing their newest single in a time of change – friends were moving overseas, taking up new jobs, starting new relationships.  Questioning the role relationships play in shaping personalities as well as the way that different versions of ourselves inhabit different spaces within our lives, Moza’s newest track was born.

With the help of director Madeline King and cinematographer Miller Best, Moza brought their ideas to life on screen. Of the visuals, the duo had this to say:

It’s about how the people we love the most bring out our favourite version of ourselves: the version we’re most proud of, the best version. We wanted that to be reflected in a really honest way. The video explores themes of self-doubt, male depression and liberation against the backdrop of a stereotypical male role of small town mechanic.”
