Listen :: View :: Lunchbreak with Charge Group

March 27th 2012

Ever recorded a neo-futurist desert landscape in a Newcastle church? No? GEEZ, quit sitting on your hands and get a move on, Sydney’s Charge Group beat you to the punch.

After sitting on their 2008 debut release Escaping Mankind for a few years, there were squees stationwide at FBi when the Sydney four finally released their mindwarping self-titled album this March, captured by a church, mixed by Wayne Connolly at Sydney’s Alberts and mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Grizzly Bear) in New York.

Live music know-it-alls, the team at FBi Social have described the foursome as such:

“Charge Group play loud dynamic rock music… that can instigate sorrow, health, rapture, rapid eye movement, toothache and intrusive self-assessment all at once. They will light your way home then welcome you at the door with a punch in the guts.”

Intrigued? Come along to FBi Social for a big ol musical punch in the guts at Lunchbreak, as Charge Group take to the Social stage for a live lunch time set. Bring your sandwich, have a sneaky lunchbreak beer and settle in for some mindbending tunes.
