Listen :: SOAK ‘B A Nobody’ live acoustic on Arvos

“I think the whole idea of ‘being a nobody’ is this really odd concept that’s like… the exact same as the idea of ‘being someone’. But it’s a complete contradiction, it’s an interesting difference… I feel like when I talk about it in interviews I’m talking about a cult.”
Think about what you were, or are, doing at age eighteen. No offence, but SOAK is doing it better. She’s travelled the world with her own solo shows, as well as supporting the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Chvrches and Tegan and Sara. Phew!
Coming off the back of a successful run of shows at South By South West, Bridie is on her first jaunt in Australia and treating audiences to her beautifully, unique vocals. She joined Twitey on Tuesday Arvos, ahead of her shows at the Hibernian House and Paddington Uniting Church, to discuss the writing process behind her new album, all things SXSW and a ‘possible’ dream collaboration with Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmore.
Take a listen to the interview below, and a dreamy performance of her track “B A Nobody.”
