“We played our first open mic night and we played ‘Midnight Hour’ and we won $50. We won a bar tab!”

Long-time FBi favourites Little May came back to where their on-air story started, joining Charlotte on Arvos in the studio where they first got played. So-called ‘ghost folk’ artists Annie, Liz and Hannah took a break from business on their For the Company tour to crank up Business Time at FBi with a live performance of their track ‘Remind Me’. Highlights of the tour so far?

“Probably being on stage with Mumford and Sons and the Flaming Lips, [and] Jenny Lewis amongst others.”

With their upcoming debut record For the Company being produced by none other than “top of the list dream producer” The National’s Aaron Dessner and generating interest abroad in Europe and the States, there’s no doubt that Little May already have it a little made. But how do they get that really melancholy Australian feel in their tunes?

“We went to Jindabyne last year… it was Annie’s grandparents’ place and it was really, really magical. It was a little bit eerie and it really did something for us.”

For the Company is out October 9th.
