JOY is a name we are going to hear more and more in the years to come. The Brisbane singer-songwriter and producer came in for a chat with Charlotte Meldrum-Hanna on Arvos, revealing where the emotional depth in her music comes from and the overwhelming excitement associated with those first few big gigs. After releasing just two singles, she’s already supporting names like Tkay Maidza and George Maple and has collaborated with Young Franco. She’s nailing the sound of the moment, but her talent doesn’t end there – she still does “jazz piano and Norah Jones covers in restaurants for fun”.

Expect more material soon from JOY – but for now enjoy a beautiful acoustic version of her second single ‘Stone’ live in the studio.
