Listening to this release is pretty much the same as becoming a Jedi. That may seem like a stretch (and it is), but let me explain anyway.

Donky Pitch stamp their name on music from people like Slugabed, Lockah, Lil Texas, and Ghost Mutt. This music is unquestionably weird.

It’s good weird though, like swinging a lightsaber through the air for the first time (we’ve all been there). Just ask Donky Pitch’s biggest advocate, Luke Skywalker.

“When I first picked up my lightsaber, everything was strangely instinctive.” says Skywalker. “I could’ve completely Wookied out, or just defecated everywhere, but somehow I immediately knew what to do with my body. I had a similar experience listening to Donky Pitch’s We Didn’t Think We’d Make It This Far compilation. 813‘s ‘Plumbeous Bubbles’ came on, and my booty just would not stop poppin’. Crazy times.”

He hasn’t had his brain to mouth filter changed in a while, but Skywalker still manages to perfectly communicate the appeal of this compilation.

“Have a kip inside a recently-deceased tauntaun and you’ll know exactly what this music feels like. So unnatural, so effective, so moist ;)”

Stop it Luke, have a beer and shut up. You shouldn’t even know how to use emoticons.

But seriously, We Didn’t Think We’d Make It This Far Vol. 1 is totally  great and you should listen to it. Not just because a Jedi thinks it’s rad, but because it’s a free download of exciting electronic music that you can dance to. There is not one thing wrong with that.
