POSITION SUMMARY:

The Arts Editor will work with the Arts and Culture Executive Producer, broadcasters, and contributors across the station to revitalise our arts and culture coverage and ensure the ongoing delivery of engaging arts content with a strong Sydney focus.

We’re looking for someone with a strong editorial eye who understands how to cover arts and culture within the context of FBi’s programming and audience. A large part of this role is being the main touch point for requests for editorial coverage. You will need to have a close eye on cultural goings-on in Sydney.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• An existing involvement and interest in Sydney arts and culture
• Knowledge of FBi Radio and an understanding of appropriate programming for our audience.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Motivated, flexible and able to work both autonomously and in a creative team.

This volunteer position reports to the Arts and Culture Executive Producer and Program Director.

HOURS:

A minimum of 6 hours per week, spread across the week. As part of this role you will need to check in on emails regularly, preferably daily.

A minimum commitment of 6 months is requested.
