On the grand journey of a band’s musical lifespan, Goodside are right at the start; they’re one track in, but it’s a doozy and their pedigree can’t be ignored.

Helmed by Casey Logemann, Goodside have arrived with debut track ‘I’ve Been Feeling Something Lately’ and its immediate shimmying, coastal vibe thanks to snazzy guitar-and-percussion opening combo. The immediacy of music hooks you even before Logemann’s perfect direct lyrics complete the picture, and it’s been getting a comprehensive rinsing on our playlists since we premiered it a few weeks ago.

Born from a burst of creativity which cut through the gloom of an artistic rut, the track marks the start of Logemann’s new musical journey with the quartet, and a time during which she says

“Music made me feel like myself again… I didn’t want to create pressure surrounding my creative process, I just wanted the music to be fun. That’s sort of what the song is about and also why I started Goodside.”

The members of Goodside also individually work their magic onstage as part of Phantastic Ferniture, Ultracrush, Gypsys of Pangea, Boysnlove and Julia Jacklin’s live band, and as Goodside have already racked up support credits for Fraser A. Gorman, ILUKA and Big White… all within the 18 months since their inception.

For now, the group will be gracing The Oxford Tavern later this month before officially unleashing more of that warm, honeyed pop rock via their debut EP later in the year.

Get into it, and  – like it did for Logemann – Goodside will bring out yours, too.
