The Lulu Raes are a Sydney band set on injecting your brain with pure, unadulterated happiness.

The four-piece effort commands a gorgeously crafted sound that is said by the band to be a mix between The Strokes, Pixies, Christina Aguilera and Macy Gray.

Clearly the formula has worked, as they have just completed sold-out tours with fellow Sydney superstars DMA’s, Gang of Youths and Sticky Fingers, as well as a solo tour on the east coast.

Their latest addition in a string of solid releases is ‘Swing Me On A Vine of Sunshine’, a semi-psychedelic, feel-good release that could turn any frown upside down.

If you didn’t catch them on their latest tour, hop on to their BandCamp via this link and embrace a little bit of joy in a cosy 3½ minute dose.

Tune in to Up For It every Monday morning for your new Independent Artist Of The Week.
