Redfern artist Juju the Dragon’s flawlessly cool hip-hop fusion soars above the rest.

Juju the Dragon is no stranger to the Aussie hip-hop scene, having performed as ‘Ju‘ – one half of the bushwhacking Canberra duo Bushland Prodigies with Goldielocks back in 2012. Today, the Redfern-based producer, rapper and singer is carving his own path, drawing from his immense talents to deliver his own brand of Australian dream-hop.

While doing so, he refuses to be confined to one label, role or influence. Inspired and paralleled by his art studies, Juju bridges effortlessly between gorgeous beats, husky vocals and skilful rap lyricism. This is best encapsulated by his single ‘Strider’, an introspective yet charming manifesto on his vision.

His upcoming LP remains shrouded in mystery for the time being, but if ‘Strider’ is anything to go by, it’s going to be an absolute stunner.
