Brightness is the moniker of Alex Knight, an indie-pop producer and window cleaner hailing from Lake Macquarie in New South Wales. He owns a newly registered 2001 Commodore Lumina with a substantial dent in the driver side fender – so you know, he’s probably a legend.

Recorded and mixed by Knight and Alex Crosby, ‘Oblivion’ was released last month via Mirror Music Group. It’s a blissful, meandering tune with guitar lines that you’ll be humming for days to come. Already lining up a handful of shows, you can catch Brightness supporting Middle Kids at Hudson Ballroom (details below), then heading on tour with Jack River and Seavera for the entire month of December.

WHO: Brightness, Middle Kids
WHERE: Hudson Ballroom (fka Plan B/Goodgod Small Club), Chinatown
WHEN: 8pm, Friday 21st October
HOW MUCH: $13.80 – more info here

Tune into Up For It every Monday morning to meet your new independent artist of the week!
