Things are coming up roses for mega-talented Sydney-via-Perth hunnies Body Type, and we just can’t get enough.

Our love for Body Type is no secret. After delivering on first singles ‘Ludlow’ and ‘Silver’ and playing electric sets relentlessly across the country – Sugar Mountain and support slots for Pond and Ariel Pink are a few of many highlights – we gave ‘em not one, but two SMACs for Best Live Act and Next Big Thing – at our 2017 awards in January. Fast forward 9 months and we have had the total pleasure of premiering their debut, self-titled EP.

For those of you uninitiated, the story goes that the quartet formed cosmically in 2016 after guitarist and vocalist Sophie was on the hunt for help to lay beats to her demos. Cecil, Annabel and Georgia came into the picture chronologically in Sydney and found that, coincidentally, three quarters of the newly minted band used to call Perth home.

What followed were inextricable connections between the four across their developing music and friendship, their melodic D.I.Y. rock a result of serendipity working its wonders.

Lifted off the EP, Body Type’s latest single ‘Palms’ looks at those times when the stars align for one reason or another. Instantly catchy and brimming with fun, warm guitar lines, ‘Palms’ is easily the sweet, maraschino cherry atop of BT’s debut and is accompanied by an equally fun and entertaining video clip.

Watch it all come together live at FBi Turns 15 or one of the many shows we reckon they’ll crush coming up.
