Jlin specialises in bass you can feel, and her live AV show as part of Sydney Festival was no different. Shrouded in dense smoke, Jerrilynn Patton aka Jlin twisted minds and moved bodies. Transporting the dancefloor to another world, the Indiana producer brought her 2017 release ‘Black Origami’ to life with futuristic, post-footwork sounds and visuals created by MFO and Theresa Baumgartner. An equally intense collaborative set between Beijing producer Howie Lee and Taiwanese visualists Veeeky & Thoid set the tone with clattering rhythms and eccentric, textured visuals.
