Bass music doesn’t get much more fun than the contents of a Slumberjack set.

The Perth-based production duo love everything in that zone – from balls-out trappy hip hop to the most gleeful melodic gems in existence – and they’ve blended it all together seamlessly in an exclusive mix for FBi.

It’s actually their third mix for us in as many months, as they’ve been one of four summer residents on Saturday night dance music show The Mixing Bowl. Other residents included techno bros Motorik Vibe Council, aggressive house music purverors Go Freek and versatile vibe-bringer Airwolf. All of the summer residency mixes can be found here, but this one from Slumberjack is definitely one of the strongest of the bunch.

Slumberjack included stuff from Rustie, Sinjin Hawke and Clipse in the mix, plus tunes from Fade Up alumni Chiefs, Paces, Just A Gent and Palace. There are even a couple of cheeky unreleased tunes slipped in there.

This set is actually much-needed listening for those who didn’t head down to Chinese Laundry last Saturday night. The Slumberjack boys smashed out a hefty ninety minute set just before Goldroom took the stage and apparently it went down a treat.
