Throw out your torches and embrace the darkness of techno with the Motorik crew.

The Sydney record label, party series and unofficial head honchos of techno in Australia have outdone themselves with this mix. It starts off as a tense slow-burner, but eventually hits you upside the head with fresh earworms from Wordlife (specifically, the unreleased Harvard Bass remix of their upcoming single ‘Club Strobe’) and The Presets. It’s balls-out pumping stuff from that point on, making a damn fine end to their summer residency on The Mixing Bowl.

The mix also serves as a delicious entree to the party that Motorik are throwing on Saturday the 15th of Feb alongside Bromance Records. It’s all going down at The Basement from midnight til 7am Sunday morning, with Louisahhh!!!, Maelstrom, Jensen Interceptor, Motorik Vibe Council and some unannounced special guests all jumping behind the decks. This could be the last time you get to party all night in Sydney before these new lockout laws come into place. Grab a ticket if you’re up for it.
