There’s nothing funny about Mondays right? Challenging that truism the Newtown Hotel are bringing you intimate open-mic, comedy sessions where Sydney’s comics can try out new material in short sets, hosted by Sam Kissajukian.

Tues 13th: Preview an Australian theatre premiere

The New Theatre brings you ‘Jeruasalem’, the Australian premiere of the award winning Broadway play. It’s the story of Johnny ‘Rooster’ Byron: squatter, storyteller, menace and wanted man and the best bit is the preview’s only $17!

Wed 14th: Hang out with Richard Glover at AGNSW

As part of the Sydney Moderns exhibition, exploring the changing face of our harbour city, writer & radio host Richard Glover presents a talk entitled ‘The Sydney Experiment’.

Thurs 15th: Challenge your perception with 3D-printed designs

Studio Pop-ups at the Powerhouse Museum gives you the chance to get up close and personal with designers and their creative process; offering envelope making, a colouring in wall and live music from Edward Deer.

WHAT: 3D jewellery and object design pop up shop and demonstration by students of the Design Centre, Enmore

WHERE: The Powerhouse Museum

Fri 16th: Go to a zine launch at the Tate

Kingbrown is WA slang for a longneck beer. It’s also a super-limited edition, hand crafted zine, bringing you photography, illustration and urban and skateboard art and design. Featuring work by Vans the Omega, Roach, Drypnz, Numskull, Beastman, Joel Birch and a heap more, this one is the real deal.
