Culture Guide :: Retrosweat, secret cinema and a week’s worth of Craft Beer…
October 21st 2013
Hibernation’s over… Thanks to daylight savings there’s hours of daylight after work!
But what to do, WHAT TO DO? When you’ve got The Z Factor and Please Date My Horribly Awkward Son doubling up on TV, how could you possibly consider heading back outside?! Luckily, we’re keeping our eyes out to bring you the best, brightest, and usually cheapest stuff on the Sydney arts and culture scene.
So when the lure of going pants-less in front of reality TV threatens to maroon you on the shores of mediocrity, FBi’s culture guide has got you sorted…
Mon 21st :: There’s no such thing as too much beer
The forecast for the week is hot! You could drink water, but have you heard about what the fish do in it?! Fortunately Sydney Craft Beer Week has events and tastings going on that will help you sample the gamut of craft, local and home brews that our harbour city has on offer.
Highlights include brewery tours, home-brew competitions, beer and scotch matching and the Brewer’s Bowl Off which sees Sydney brewers and the public roll off for the Brewers Cup.

Each week two artists will be given three hours on Thursday evenings to create an artwork at Lo-Fi on a 1.2 metre by 1.2 metre timber box as their submission for the art prize. One winner will be selected from the 24 final works on November 7 while they showcase their pieces in a public arena.
