The Powerhouse museum has pulled together an exhibition for Lego and comic book enthusiasts. Check out the incredible skill of the builders who can transform tiny little blocs into the faces of your favourite DC comic book characters.

Nerd Nite

A Psychologist, an Engineer and a Criminal Lawyer walk into a bar… It’s not the beginning of a joke but the start of a talk series called Nerd Nite. This monthly event brings together three quirky, entertaining, and deeply nerdy mini-presentations. This event is bitter sweet. With the growing anticipation of the impending Star Wars release I am sure we have all been boning up on knowledge of Galaxy’s far far away. This historic event is combined with another historic event. Our beloved late night event Goodgod Small Club is closing its doors once and for all. In it’s final weeks it wants to go out with a bang. They’ve already won

A comedy about death and all of the things, even clickbait. Written by two young playwrights who are taking on our meme saturated culture where we happily communicate through emojis and expect instant gratification. Harriet Gillies participated in Kaldor Public Art Projects’ Marina Abramovic residency in June this year and Pierce Wilcox has been writing Opera with the Sydney Chamber Opera. Gallerie Pompom Exhibition Opening

Who run the world? Girls!

Women in Power includes major artworks by women from the Power Collection from Bridget Riley to Cindy Sherman, selected by key women in the arts, business and law including Penelope Seidler AM, Elizabeth Ann Macgregor OAM, Larissa Behrendt, Naomi Milgrom AO and Justice Virginia Bell AC.

A homage ot James Franco

Gallerie Pompom in Chippendale throwing open the doors for their final exhibition of the year. Justin Harvey and Alex Munt make up the artist collective Kubrick or Korine™ and they have created a 24 hour television channel dedicated to James Franco, the myth, the man and the legend. Along with this there will be two other shows including Plastic by Anna Louise Richardson and Shitter by Daniel Mudie Cunningham.

Pillow Talk at 107 Projects

Gaffa Gallery is packing their five galleries with great art to treat yourself with this December. Gallery 3 will be tackling representations of masculinity through sculptural forms. In Gallery 4 a bunch of amazing local artists will be exploring their relationship to place and the diasporic communities that they belong to.
