Seasick

Fleabag
Maddie Rice is an anti-heroine for the modern age. The eponymous Fleabag is a cheeky sex-obsessed Londoner who masturbates while watching Barack Obama on her laptop. She has a complicated relationship with a guinea pig, runs a failing cafe and is also mourning her mother and best friend, Boo. She is broken yet filthily funny.

Exhibition Launch: Black Divaz
The Bearded Tit is playing home to a collection of glamorous goods that exploded forth from Darwin’s Miss First Nations Drag Pageant 2017, celebrating the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQIA+ community. A documentary film; portraits of the contestants; shimmering hand-sewn textiles and song cycles from the pageant can be seen starting this Thursday the 25th. Curated by Michaela Perske.

Pussy Riot Theatre: Riot Days
Maria Alyokhina tells the tale of iconic Russian activist group, Pussy Riot, and their time spent in solitary confinement in standing against Vladimir Putin. Through this theatre cross film masterclass, Maria narrates the course of Pussy Riot’s activism in public spaces, and the opposition they were met with. Maria instils an urgency for resistance to the political and social climates in the present day.
