The Golden Promise | Samuel Hodge
Samuel Hodge presents a new body of work entitled The Golden Promise.
Hodge manipulates found images and discarded slides to construct an imagined history beginning in a fictional USA town in 1969, which extends and unfolds to the present day.
Artspace’s first exhibition of 2016!
See site specific works recently developed within the gallery space specifically for the Dämmerschlaf exhibition.
These new works explore the states of consciousness present in creative practice, including notions of the occult, the supernatural and alternative spiritualities.
MCA ARTBAR - Rosie Deacon
Rosie Deacon keeps bringing the good stuff!
Expect bushrangers, bush tucker, bush animals, in fact a lot of Australiana in general. Brought to you by some great artists, all curated by Rosie herself.
Adrian Paci - The Column
An epic video installation which is definitely worth heading down to. The Column traces the path of a massive block of marble as it is quarried, transported via land and sea, and shaped along the way.
It’s big, immersive and breathtaking and it’s only on for a couple of weeks so head down if you get a chance.
Tune in to Arvos at 4:30pm every weekday for more Culture Guide.
