Disarming Sexism in the Arts: #Metoo, but what next?
Matters of sexism are constantly surfacing. Weinstein among other aggressors are being met with opposition from campaigns such as #metoo, but what next? How do we action change as a preventative? This conversation brings together members of the arts and broader communities to discuss viable strategies, as well as ideas, and to share their experiences. Through these kinds of exchanges, the panel will speculate futures and methods of change.

Mama Alto: Queerly Beloved (Sydney Mardi Gras)
Celestial vocals lead you to ecstasy and empowerment this evening at the Red Rattler. Singer and community activist Mama Alto returns for a special performance in the few days prior to the 4oth anniversary of Mardi Gras Sydney.

Kate Scardifield: Soft Topologies
Presented as part of Sydney Design Festival and Art Month Sydney, this new exhibition of work by Kate Scardifield uses objects, video and sculpture to create a visual study on the body’s topology.

Queer Art After Hours
Claiming the Art Gallery of New South Wales for the evening, Queer Art After Hours is celebrating the work of Robert Mapplethorpe. From gallery invigilators to dance orchestrators, Sydney’s cutting-edge queer artists, musicians, DJs and performers are facilitating a space to celebrate the chronicling of Mapplethorpe’s work, and the communities with which it engaged and gave platform to.

Queerbourhood Special! BLACK DIVAS perform LIVE
Live performances from the glamorous contestants of last year’s Miss First Nations Pageant, coinciding with the BLACK DIVAZ exhibition currently held at the Bearded Tit, as well as the world premiere of the documentary (going by the same title) at Queerscreen as part of Mardi Gras 2018.
