Tues 3rd :: Jurassic Lounge – Extinction
Jurassic Lounge at the Australian Museum is BACK and kicking off tonight with a Time Machine launch party. There’s gonna be a 1920’s Prohibition Bar, a 1970’s Disco Photo Booth and a 1980’s Hip Hop Lessons (plus all the usual dinosaurs, stuffed marsupials and general geo-goodness!)

Wed 4th :: Dancing in the Dark with ‘No Lights No Lycra’

Once a month, in a dimly lit room, people gather to move, shake and generally groove to the pure joy of dancing in a in a friendly, non-threatening, drug and alcohol free atmosphere. Featuring the best in Indie film, transgressive cinema, counter-culture works, cutting-edge documentaries and good fun oddball cinema over 4 days with extra Q&As, workshops and special guests thrown in!

Fri 6th :: Stompin’ Zydeco at Eliza’s Juke Joint
From deep in the heart of the Mississippi Delta (by way of Newtown) way down by the bayou back behind the railroad tracks, the sound of good times pours out of an old shotgun shack. Eliza’s Juke Joint is popping up at the historic school of arts hall in Newtown for the Sydney Fringe festival. They’ll be jitterbugging, jumpin, jiving and wailing all for three weeks only…
