Action and Consequence brings together works from the Campbelltown Arts Centre permanent collection to reflect on lores, laws and legislation regarding cultural material, care and control orders, copyright permissions and ancestral law. Curated in collaboration with special guest Aunty Glenda Chalker, local Dharawal elder.

Wednesday 20th December

Gusher Magazine Issue #2 Launch Gig

The second issue of Gusher features interviews with the likes of (cover star) Angel Olsen, Mitski, Perfume Genius, Downtown Boys, Ecca Vandal, Cherry Glazerr, Shonen Knife, Gabriella Cohen, Ho99o9, RVG, Two Steps on the Water and more, plus original longform rock criticism, photography and artwork by a talented crop of creatives. All profits from this party go towards funding the next issue of Gusher.

Sarah Smith’s works highlight the times, the style, the celebrities and the expanding industries of advertising, TV, radio and print media, shaping that cultural identity in the field of art and design.

THIS IS A VOICE

Contemplate the power of voice before and beyond words and explore the human voice in this immersive exhibition. Designed as an acoustic journey, delve inside vocal tracts, restless minds and speech devices to discover how meaning and emotions are conveyed through the patterns of rhythm, stress and intonation. Blending performance, video, visuals and sound, This is a Voice presents works by artists and vocalists, punctuated by paintings, manuscripts, medical illustrations and ethnographic objects.

Designing Bright Futures

Designing Bright Futures exhibits the work of 12 UNSW Art & Design outstanding graduating students across Bachelor and Masters of Design fields. Work includes jewellery, textiles, graphics, object, interactive and spatial design. The graduates have been chosen for their work which explores and promotes ideas of innovation and sustainable practice, capacity for social impact, commercial viability and the role of design in advancing well-being.

Exhibition Launch: EGO REBEL

EGO REBEL is a psychedelic trip through the artist’s minds: it’s all about them watching you watching them. Combining painting, costume, object, video and performance, this show will suck you in and spit you out. Made up of four separate works, each addresses different aspects of the artists lives. There’s still ho, ho, hope for us all.
