Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery is delighted to present ‘Amri Kumi’, an exhibition of new textile works by Pierre Mukeba, and ‘Healing/Ḏilthan Yolŋunha’, an exhibition of new works by Yolŋu artist Dhambit Munuŋgurr.
Experience the aftermath of Mukeba’s rhizomatic weaving of past and present and Munuŋgurr’s distinct brushstroke and vivid palette.

LEBANESE FILM FESTIVAL: OPENING NIGHT
Join the Festival team, under the patronage of Australian Film icon, Bryan Brown AM, together with international guests, in celebrating the 2022 Lebanese Film Festival’s 10 year anniversary Opening Night function.
This iconic event will be followed by formalities and film screening of Memory Box – a Canadian-Lebanese-French film, written and directed by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige.

Meet Me At 4A: At The Altar of The Amplifier
For the exhibition NO FALSE IDOLS, artist Kusum Normoyle will undertake a site-specific performance wrestling the human voice with feedbacking guitar amplifiers, disrupting the stereotypical silent atmosphere of the art gallery.
The performance will be prefaced by a discussion on noise and sound between Kusum and artist Peter Blamey, followed by an industrial techno DJ set from Dave Fernandes (House of Mince).

Burlesk of The Bizarre brings you their most popular show ‘Burlesk of The Surreal’. A night of art and fantasy inspired burlesque and performance art.
The show walks the thin line between burlesque, art and fantasy and carves out a space for the performers who are a little left of centre and celebrates the strange and unusual, the dark, the beautiful and the strange.
