Monday 7th :: Every Blackfella has a Story…

20 Questions bills itself as part talk show & part cabaret all rolled into one. Monday evenings at Belvoir St Theatre a prominent Indigenous performer sits down with Wesley Enoch to answer twenty questions. The questions stay the same but each which the mystery guest will provide their own take on an unfolding narrative of Australian and Indigenous performance and art. Featuring Jada Alberts, Lisa Maza & Rachael Maza, David Page, Leah Purcell, Miranda Tapsell and Ursula Yovich.

Tuesday 8th :: Get Your Doodle Out…

Parlour Games is a collaborative drawing event put together as part of Smart Arts 2014. The evening consists of doodling and creative drawing tied together by classic parlour games such as ‘exquisite corpse’ and ‘Beijing Doodles’ (Chinese Whispers with drawings). The hosts for the evening are ‘doodle experts’ & visual artists Natalie Aylward & Leigh Russell of Intersect Arts. The event is open to all doodlers aged 15-26…

Wednesday 9th :: What Do You Want to Be?

Safety in Numbers is a new piece of dance theatre exploring memory, ideas of safety and the aftermath of tragedy. The story is set in the aftermath of an earthquake as five people are forced to face their fate, and is inspired by the true stories of disaster survivors.  Directed and choreographed by Samantha Chester.

Thursday 10th :: Paint it Black (Then White Again…)

Sydney artist David Asher Brook has been experimenting with turning painting black, then turning it white again. His working combines patterns to create expressive, figurative pieces. His latest show New Energy is currently on at the Bondi Pavillion Gallery.
