There are few artists in the world who are more dedicated than Swedish producer and Börft Records co-founder, Villa Åbo aka Jan Svensson. In 1987, at the age of just 13, Svensson formed one of the most dynamic electronic groups of the era, Frak. These days Svensson works more prominently on his solo project Villa Åbo, which has seen releases on labels such as his own imprint Börft, Bio Rhythm, Memories On Wax and Australia’s own Noise In My Head.

Following the release of his latest 12” ‘Brain Charter Disco’ on Melbourne’s Butter Sessions, Villa Åbo delivered a mix for Andy Garvey on Pure Space. An hour of stripped back house and bizzaro techno, the mix highlights his eclectic taste in techno and acid house, featuring highlights from Börft Records. Check out his hypnotic mix below, for a dose of extreme experimentalism as only Svensson can achieve.
