Since his time in Bearhug and Claire & the Cops, Felix Lush’s bedroom-pop has recieved big love. With his new material, he continues to take us into an 80s synth pop dreamworld. This is on full display in his new video for ‘Juliette’, which we’re stoked to be premiering here.

Returning after his 2016 debut EP ‘State of Mind’, this wonderfully romantic synth jam sees Felix Lush get sentimental with a mega-sweet ode to his love for IRL girlfriend and the song’s namesake.

Of the new track, he says:

“The song is my love song dedication to my girlfriend. Sometimes I think people are worried about being outright about love but it’s important to tell that special someone how much they mean. ‘Juliette’ is for every dorky kid out there who just wants to tell their partner how much they mean to them.”

*heart eyes*

Featuring Felix Lush together with Juliette herself, the accompanying video, directed by Courtney Brookes, is a pastel-filled visual delight. It flicks us through channels featuring other, slick looking familiar faces of local music, including Hamish Dobinson of Flowertruck, David Gauci of Death Bells and Spike Vincent. This is put together with darling couple montages and florals out of some kind of candy coloured daydream.

We definitely feel the love, and think you will too.

Felix Lush is on the road supporting The Creases in Melbourne and Sydney and is set to tour with I Know Leopard and These New South Whales. Check out the video and tour details below.
