Low Flung charters new territory on AfterHour

August 14th 2017

Mostly ambient, sometimes rhythmic, and occasionally melodic… Low Flung aka Danny Wild is a champion for left-of-centre sounds. Dropping by AfterHour with a completely rewritten live set, Wild had scrapped his initial plans in favour of a completely new set only days before the show. Taking to the airwaves, the decision paid off in the form of an immersive half hour of ambient textures.

As the head honcho of independent Australian powerhouse Moontown Records, Low Flung is no stranger to curating found-sounds. His taste-making label has been sending cassette tapes across the globe since 2012, traversing a variety of unrelated genres which are tied together musically by a love of adventurous Australian sounds.

Championing the weird and the unique in his live mix, settle in for twenty eight minutes of spacey vibes with a few hook turns thrown in for good measure.
