All Our Friends

FBi is proud to announce “All Our Friends”: a series of gigs celebrating 10 years on air, and raising funds for FBi’s future.

We’ve made it through the last decade thanks to the passion and dedication of countless local artists, promoters, labels and industry pro’s. As a testament to this, we’ve gathered some of our favourite crews and allies to curate these gigs: electronic music heavyweights Future Classic and Astral People, indie rock heroes Rice is Nice and Popfrenzy Records, the always sophisticated Broken Stone Records and lynchpins of Sydney music Modular Recordings.

The line-ups for All Our Friends exemplify the strength and diversity of our local music scene. Join us at one of the four gigs (or all of them) and help us kick off the next decade of FBi.

“All of us here at Rice Is Nice are very lucky to have the support for FBI. Without FBI and community radio in general this world would be a very VERY different / horrible place. It is more than just ‘important’ to support these stations, they are a necessity for discovering brilliant new things that are happening around us. They do more for you than you think, so that is why we will always support FBI and you should too.”

Julia Wilson, Rice Is Nice

“The OAF has and always will be an avid supporter of FBi radio. Whether through donation or fundraisers it represents only a small part of what FBi Radio gives back to the music industry, the OAF and community as a whole. I would like to think that all people who tune into FBi realise what a vitally important role in the wheel of Live Music it plays – a role that the OAF and all manner of bands can rely on day and night 7 days a week.”

Mark Gerber, Oxford Art Factory

“Future Classic have been long time supporters of FBi and we’re super proud to still be part of the family with our weekly Saturday Sunset show. Putting on a show with our mates from Astral People felt like a great fit to celebrate a decade of the Sydney station we love.”

Chad Gillard, Future Classic

“It’s an amazing thing to turn on the radio every day and hear amazing local sounds and ideas – supporting FBI radio is more than just supporting community radio, it’s supporting community culture.”

JD Miller, Broken Stone Records

“FBi Radio and Modular are almost the same age. We’ve grown together and shared a love of a lot of the same music and goings-on around Sydney.  It’s vital to have a launching pad for new and fresh musical, social and cultural ideas. Sydney music (and city!) is so much stronger and more vibrant thanks to FBi. We look forward to celebrating both of these with FBi.”

Stephen Pavlovic, Modular
