A warm-hearted comedy, Ali’s Wedding is an affectionate and entertaining true story about family, community, and love in multi-cultural Australia.

Ali, the charming son of a Muslim cleric despite his best intentions just can’t seem to make the right life choices. Expected to become a doctor, marry a girl he doesn’t love and most of all, make his father proud; Ali tries to fake it ’til he makes it, with hilarious and cataclysmic consequences.

Starring Osamah Sami and directed by Jeffrey Walker, Ali’s Wedding won the audience award at this year’s Sydney Film Festival.

Ali’s Wedding hits cinemas on August 31.
