The Chaperone stars Elizabeth McGovern as a Kansas woman is forever changed when she chaperones 15-year-old dancer Louise Brooks to New York for the summer. Set in the tumultuous times of the early 1920’s one of them is eager to fulfil her destiny of dance and movie stardom; the other hopes to unearth the mysteries of her past.

Based on the best-selling book by Laura Moriarty, the film reunites the writer and director of the hit TV series Downton Abbey with one of its main cast members.
