Experimental pop outfit Shining Bird’s second album Black Opal is teeming with synth-pop textures and lyricism intrinsic to Australia’s natural beauty.

Winning FBi Radio’s SMAC award for album of the year in 2016, Black Opal includes the tracks ‘Helluva Lot’ as well as the 2015 SMAC award-winning song of the year ‘Rivermouth’. It also features a collaborative effort with didgeridoo player Charlie McMahon (Gondwanaland).
