FBi Social: Copywriter and Publicity Coordinator positions

FBi SOCIAL COPYWRITER

The FBi Social Copywriter Role is being created to ensure the timely promotion and listing of events with a uniform and lively FBi Social voice. The role would be perfect for someone studying or interested in moving into copywriting, digital content and PR. Hours are flexible, approximately 5 per week, but you should be available online daily for any urgent updates. Can work from home or at FBi Radio, must be able to work autonomously, love music events and have a great flair for the written word!

Tasks include:

– vet confirmed event submissions to copy-write promotional event listings for fbisocial.com and on-air carts (average 3 events per week)

– occasionally follow-up with promoters to obtain press releases and band bios, or perform own research in order to compile information for the above

– act as back-up for the listing and maintenance of events on fbisocial.com

– occasionally write press releases for events presented by FBi Social (eg. Winter Prom, FBi Social Birthday Party)

– liaise with venue manager, web coordinator, publicity coordinator and social media coordinator to ensure events are effectively promoted a minimum of three weeks before each event.

FBi SOCIAL PUBLICITY COORDINATOR

We’re looking for someone with interest/ experience in marketing and publicity to jump on board as our Publicity Guru for FBi Social. The role should only take a couple of hours each week. It can be done from home (or you can drop into the FBi studio if you wish!) You should know your electronic from your folk blogs (and be keen to research) and have a way with the written word.

You will:

– compile and write a fortnightly e-newsletter, sent to media and subscriber lists

– be responsible for keeping these lists up to date and adding new contacts regularly

– contact relevant online and print media outlets for interviews, articles, reviews & photographers to promote specific events

– think of new and creative ways to promote shows; liaise with FBi Radio staff to deliver information to promote events
